Creating an interface that uploads one file at a time is fairly easy. I found it quite difficult to find any decent, working examples of an interface that could handle multiple file uploads simultaneously. So I resorted to what I usually end up doing...writing my own interface from scratch.
Below you will find an example of my flash multi-file uploader. This specific example only allows image files and limits each visitor to 5 uploads total of which no file can be larger than 2 Megabytes. The interface is written in ActionScript 3 which sends information to PHP. The PHP scripts create unique directories, resize the uploaded images. Flash then makes another request to another PHP script that searches the directory for the newly uploaded images.
