It's hard to deny the power of youtube. With so many visitors to their website and a policy of open access to their feeds (youtube API) developers like myself can tap into the excitement. So many things can be done to integrate youtube videos and youtube data onto your existing website. Tapping into youtube's data feeds are a superb, legal way to keep content on your website fresh. While these demonstrations mainly work one direction (from youtube to this website), the process can be reversed...In otherwords I can build tools on a website allowing users to upload videos and accompanying data to a youtube account without ever visiting youtube.

I used a decent amount of youtube integration when i developed the website helloartsy.com - a video/tutorial based website. Here is a sample feed from helloartsy.com & youtube.com/helloartsy: listing all its videos. The content is dynamic and updates itself, this form changes automatically when helloartsy's youtube page changes.

In this next example I am demonstrating how I can also grab content from youtube's main page and work with that data. Once we grab the data we can do anthing we want with it: below illustrates access to youtube content through small thumbnail images representing each individual video. Notice how we can stream youtube videos to this website without ever leaving...just click a video image!
